Marcella R. Trierweiler Westphalia, Michigan Age 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born on August 12, 1919 in St. Johns, Michigan the daughter of Arnold and Clara (Schafer) Schomisch. Mrs. Trierweiler was very devoted to her Catholic faith, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society. Marcella married Leland P. Trierweiler on July 6, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 2002. She enjoyed quilting, and especially loved her family, which was her life. Preceding her in death were her son-in-law, Stanley Wieber; sisters, Irene Schneider, Jeanette Gladden, and Ambra Milbourne; brother, Ronald Schomisch. Surviving are her children, Linda Wieber, Monica (Ed) Schneider, Leland R. (Therese) Trierweiler, Kenneth (Eileen) Trierweiler, Patricia (Ken) Simon, and Dale (Beth) Trierweiler; 28 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Raymond Schomisch; many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. Mathias Thelen presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2014 at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. A Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m., and a Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
