Marguerite Thorn

Age 81, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2004 in Lansing, MI.  She was born on January 6, 1923 in Ionia the daughter of Gearald and Inez (Buck) Misner.  She married Elmer Jasper Thorn, Jr. on April 25, 1942 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1973, after 31 years of marriage.  Also preceding her in death were her baby twins in 1947, and a baby son in 1949; 4 brothers, Frank, Donald, Richard and Melvin; sister, Geraldine Shellman.  She attended the Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview.  Surviving are 3 children:  Larry (Josephine) Thorn of Sunfield, Peggy Johnson of Lakeview, and Inez (Doug) Keusch of Portland; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Arthur Misner and Robert Misner; sister, Delores Freeman.  The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Diana Wheeler, Pastor of Weidman New Life Fellowship at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will be in the spring at Highland Park Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.
