Age 87, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2004. She was born on August 26, 1917 in Ionia, MI the daughter of James and Ida (Thomas) Dickout. Mrs. Templeton was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In 1947, she and her husband Bill started Ionia's first public accounting service. Marie enjoyed boating, flying and traveling. She was also an artist, particularly enjoying ceramics. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Heath Templeton on October 28, 1988; grandson, Brian Templeton on March 25, 2004. Surviving are her children, Noreine J. Ward and Steve H. (Carlene) Templeton, both of Ionia; grandchildren, Rebecca (Todd) McCord, Susan (Doug) Moon, David (Tammy) Ward, Karla (Tim) Palmisano, Arron (Tara) Franklin; great grandchildren, Michael McCord and Lisa (Josh) Rozewski; great great grandchildren, Jacob and Zahyne Rozewski, Bryce Moon, Nicholas and Shelby Ward, Catherine, Anna and Mackenzie Palmisano, Joshua and Matthew Franklin; sister-in-law, M. Noreine Templeton of Olympia, WA. The Memorial Service will be conducted by the Rev. Martin Culver, Pastor at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church, Ionia. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, in memory of Mrs. Marie C. Templeton.
