Marlene Hoppough

Age 75, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010. She was born on July 14, 1935 in Ionia the daughter of Keith and Genevieve (Edinger) Slater. She graduated from Ionia High School and also Baker College in Owosso. Mrs. Hoppough worked for Chrysler Trim Plant In Lyons as well as the City of Ionia for many years. She married Robert Hoppough on January 15, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Slater. Surviving are her children, Scott Hoppough of Benton Harbor, Todd (Cathy) Hoppough of Ionia, and Craig (Deb) Hoppough of Evart, MI; grandchildren, Nicole, Crystal, and Megan Hoppough, Boomer (Laurie) Hoppough, Hailie (Brett) Patterson, Hannah Jo Hoppough,Curtis Hoppough and Fernanda Freirie of Brazil; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandria, Isabella, Zachary, Paislie, Avery, and Emma; sisters, Delores (Roy) Cook of Fenwick and Velma Ludwick of Ionia; special friend, Gary Hooper; many nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia with Pastor John Prominski, presiding. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Cadillac Mercy Hospice, 7985 Mackinaw Trail, Suite 1, Cadillac, MI 49601 in memory of Mrs. Marlene J.
