Marvin Fedewa

Marvin F. Fedewa Westphalia, MI Age 83, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014. He was born on December 30, 1930 in Dallas Township, MI the son of Julius and Gertrude (Simon) Fedewa. Mr. Fedewa was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and was a life long farmer. Marvin enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and M.S.U., playing the "sizzling 7's" at the casino, playing cards, helping neighbors, breakfast with the guys, and helping his son on the farm. He also loved his sweets. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Michael; in laws, Viola Fedewa and David Hatt. Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Aggie; children, Dan (Colleen) Fedewa, David (Georgia) Fedewa, Denise Fedewa, and Doreen Fedewa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way; siblings, Francis Fedewa, Gerald (Lucille) Fedewa, and Monica Hatt. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. Eric Weber presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday, and a Scriptural Wake Service held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
