Ionia Age 76, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was born May 23, 1932 in Ionia the daughter of Frank and Beatrice (Gillespie) Stenke. Mary Lou enjoyed bowling, fishing, and having yard sales. She also was a seamstress who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was preceded in death byher husband, Russell in 1994, grandson Michael Emmons, and brother Ray Stenke. Surviving are her children Audrey (Nate) Wilbur of Sheridan, Russell (Geraldine) Jr. Dean of Ionia, Marge (Francis) Emmons of Belding, Susan Collins of Lyons, James (Lorrie) Dean of Ionia, John Dean of Sheridan, and Janet (Pete) Bowerman of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister Linda Alcalar of Ionia; special cousin and caregiver Chuck Stevens of Ionia; special dogs Sandy and Barney. A graveside service will be conducted by Mr. Ken Hutchison at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. A luncheon will be announced at that time.
