Mary Jane "Janie" (Fox) Schneider Pewamo, MI Age 57, peacefully left this world surrounded by her family on July 11, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Janie was born on January 16, 1957 to Leonard and Mary Lou (Smith) Fox. Janie enjoyed gardening, crafts and homemaking, but she especially treasured time with family and friends. She was a generous and gracious hostess who always had an open door and happy face for anyone who stopped by. She was a loving wife and companion to her husband of 31 years, Jerome Schneider who survives her. She is also survived by her two children Amanda Schneider of Pewamo and Erik (Kali) Schneider of Pewamo; sisters Peg Fox of Ionia, and Beth (Mike) Martin of Portland; brothers Larry (Deb) Fox, Dave (Kim) Fox, Doug (Angie) Fox all of Portland and Tom (Krista) Fox of Lowell. Janie was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Patsy (Fox) Fish. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Ionia Moose Lodge to commemorate Janie's life and the special way she touched so many lives.
