Age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2005. She was born on August 8, 1922 in Ionia, MI the daughter of Mike and Josephine (Cerney) Kazik. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and also attended school at Ss. Peter and Paul Academy as a child. Mary was also a member of the American Legion, Ionia Moose Lodge and the Elks. She worked at General Motors for 30 years, and also volunteered her time at the church. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Louis Wagner; brother, Edward Kazik. Surviving are her sons, Louis (Sue) Wagner of Grand Rapids and Phillip (Pat) Wagner of Ionia; 4 grandchildren, Debra Haldaman, Mike (Dian) Wagner, Alan Wagner and Tina (Brad) Dowon; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Melvin Fox, Pastor, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday. A rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Academy, or to the Ionia Area Hospice, in memory of Mrs. Mary H. Wagner.
