MaryAnn Hengesbach Obituary

Westphalia Age 71, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was born August 23, 1940 and raised by Roman and Elizabeth Thelen. MaryAnn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society and the choir. She was a 4H Leader, enjoyed working in catering and volunteered many hours at Hospice for 27 years. MaryAnn loved reading, gardening and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Fred; children JoAnn (Ron) Simon, Sharon (Jerry) Thelen, Cindy (Tom) Schrauben, Kevin (Jennifer) Hengesbach, Susie (Eric) Simon and Sandy (Matt) Klein; 19 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gene (Kathy) Hengesbach. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Sylvester Fedewa and Rev. John Klein at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday and 3 p.m., Sunday. The Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m., Sunday. Arrangements are with Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
