Marylin Ann Balderson Portland, Michigan Age 78, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on March 3, 1937 in Portland, Michigan, the daughter of Sylvester and Bernita (Simmons) Dutcher. Mrs. Balderson was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, and graduated from St. Patrick High School. She married Herbert Thomas Balderson on October 24, 1959, and together they shared 55 years of marriage. Marylin always put everyone before her, she loved spending time with her lady friends with many laughs and memories, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; in-laws, Herb and Doris Balderson; grandsons, Carson Reed and Fred Lowery III. Surviving are her husband, Herbert Thomas Balderson; children, Kurt (Julie) Balderson, Rick (Barbara) Balderson, Amy (Fred) Lowery, Douglas (Lisa) Balderson, Lisa (Gordon Belt) Reed; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris), Kyle (Trish), Ryan and Claire, Paige, Josh (fiancee, DeDe), Nathan, and Grace and Holly; 6 great grandchildren; brother, William (Joyce) Dutcher; sister, Ellie Bigford; many dear lady friends; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Danby Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A Scripture Service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Fr.
