Melba G. Riutta Eagle, Michigan formerly of Southgate, Michigan Age 85, passed away March 19, 2006. She was born on July 10, 1920 in Tapiola, Michigan the daughter of John and Sophia (Tuovila) Nevala. Melba was a member of Our Savior Apostolic Lutheran Church in Northville. She was preceded by her husband, Walter Riutta daughter, Karen Miller brothers, Eino, Emil and Elmer Nevala sisters, Ruth Outinen, Hilja and Huldav Nevala and Edna Heikknen. Surviving are a daughter, Dianne Smith of Portland; grandson, Matt Smith of Portland; granddaughter, Erin Smith of Lincoln Park; great granddaughter, Haleigh Smith and great grandson, Sonny Schwochow. Religious Services will be conducted by Pastor Jered Niemela, at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2006 at Our Savior Apostolic Lutheran Church, 54899 8 Mile Rd., Northville, MI. 48167. Interment will be in Glen Eden Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E.
