Age 60, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was born on June 4, 1948 in Belding the daughter of Lee and Virginia (Smith) Harris. Mrs. Gallagher was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and owned and operated Hollywood Nights Video Store in Ionia for many years. She was very active in her children’s lives including being a Den Mother, a Girls Scout Leader, and a Cheerleading Coach. She loved fishing with her sons, reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Paul Gallagher. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Charles Gallagher; children, Laura (Steve) Kozlowski of Byron Center, Johnny D. Gallagher of Holly, Barbara (Dennis Olson) Fuller of Holly, Chad (Paula) Gallagher of Ionia, and Tyler Gallagher of Ionia; step children, Camie Gallagher of Lowell, Christopher Gallagher of Ionia, and Cindy (David) Mohler of Arizona; 21 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Jan (Robert) Edmonds of Belding and Joseph Harris of Grand Rapids; mother-in-law, Catherine Gallagher of Ionia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Melvin Fox, presiding. Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at Easton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
