Michael Lay

Porland Age 49, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 21, 2012. He was born on February 28, 1962 in Lansing the son of Ivan and Romayne (Fedewa) Lay. Mike was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the K of C Council #2168 in Portland. He enjoyed watching sports, tending to his yard, fishing, golfing and being with his family and friends. Mike was the Agriculture Service Manager at Bader and Sons in Portland where he has worked for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Caroline Kimmel; grandparents Al and Catherine Fedewa, Norman and Mary Lay and Grandma Fanny; beloved dog, Frito. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Marcy; children Nicholas, Stephanie and Nathan; parents Ivan and Romayne Lay; siblings Denny (Terri) Lay, Pat (Sharon) Lay and Kevin (Kim) Lay; father-in-law Joe (Deb) Rich; brother-in-law Loren (Denise) Rich; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Rev. Larry King, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
