Age 72, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2005. She was born on April 13, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Zimmer was a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary Post #4090. Murial enjoyed quilting, crocheting, collecting elephant figurines, baking and cooking. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Zimmer; son-in-law, Dennis Fox. Surviving are her children, Brent Zimmer of Portland, Bruce (Anne) Zimmer of Portland, and Brenda Fox of Eagle; grandsons, Adam and Aaron Zimmer; several special friends. The Memorial Service was conducted by the Rev. Gregory R. Wolfe, Pastor of the Portland United Methodist Church, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment of cremains followed at Portland Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, in memory of Murial.
