Nicholas "Nick" Risher Obituary

Nicholas "Nick" Alan Risher Pewamo, MI Age 16, beloved son, brother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. He was born on March 17, 1997. Nick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo, and was currently a sophomore at P-W High School. He loved working at Cook Dairy Farm in Pewamo, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, video games, movies, and loving his dogs. Nick had a wonderful sense of humor, was self less, and enjoyed being with his family. Preceding him in death were his grandfather, Norman Cook; aunts, Christine Thelen and Barbara Davis. Surviving are his parents, Alan and Kathy Risher; sister and best friend, Alexandra Risher; grandparents, Blanche Cook, and Jerry and Sandie Risher; several aunts and uncles. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. Mathias Thelen, Rev. Charlon O. Mason, and Rev. Larry King con-celebrating. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. A Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Sunday, and a Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
