Norman H. Fedewa Obituary

Norman Henry Fedewa Pewamo Age 96, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2015. He was born June 13, 1919 to Arnold and Irene (Lay) Fedewa in Pewamo, Michigan. He was married to Theresa Lorraine (Spitzley) on July 6, 1957 for nearly 57 years. Norman was a farmer, and had a cattle hauling and marketing business known throughout Michigan. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for 72 years and a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed card playing, was an avid bowler, and in his retirement years, he loved spending winters in Florida and Arizona. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, sisters, and brother-in-laws. Surviving are his children, Jay Fedewa of Rochester Hills, Jerry (Theresa) Fedewa of Pewamo, Lou Ann (Kevin) Fedewa of Lansing, and Patrick Fedewa of Pewamo; 9 grandchildren, Erica, Austin, Jenna, Lindsay, Evan, Kayla, Garrett, Tara and Derek; sisters Dorothy O'Çonnell and Joan Smith, brother-in-law Joseph Spitzley, sisters-in-law Mary Alice Lawless, and Ermaline Fedewa. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Charlon Mason at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pewamo. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St. in Westphalia.
