Passed away on June 22, 2006. She was born on April 10, 1929 in Grand Ledge, MI, the daughter of Lucy and John Feldpausch. She was a dedicated Registered Nurse for 39 years after graduating from the Sparrow Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She worked for Lansing Opthamology as a nurse for 26 years. Pearl enjoyed spending hours on crossword puzzles, reading books of many varieties, playing Scrabble on a Sunday afternoon and playing a multitude of card games with all of her family and friends. Any person that came through the door was met with a smile and a laugh, and they left with a hug and a full stomach. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George; and sisters: Ann, Evelyn and Pauline. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, John Sr.; sisters, Janet Folkens and Dorothy Esckilsen; one son, John Jr. (Teresa) Longanbach; two daughters, Terry Longanbach and Debbie (Charles) McCort; granddaughters, Sara, Ashley, and Marlys Longanbach, and Kristin McCort. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses of the 7th floor of Sparrow Hospital for their excellent car and compassion. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Alfred Deutsch on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge. Interment will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia.
