Lansing Age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2011. He was born March 21, 1933 in Rocester, IN the son of Ray and Louise Yeakley. Phillip was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing and is retired from Demmer Corporation after many years of service. He enjoyed camping with friends and attended the Indianapolis 500 for over 50 years. He married Mary (Belen) on November 22, 1974 and together shared over 37 years of marriage. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are wife, Mary; brother, David (Betty) Yeakley and 4 nephews and their families all of North Carolina; sisters-in-law Julia Whipple of Lansing and Helen Danielian of New Jersey; brothers-in-law James Belen and John Belen both of Lansing and Don (Linda) Belen of Holt; several cousins in Indiana. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Bernard Reilly at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at St. Mary Cathedral on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to the United Ostomy Associations of America in memory of Phillip.
