Priscilla Perry Obituary

Age 88, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010. She was born on April 30, 1921 in Orange Township the daughter of Ross and Pearl (North) Wilson, Jr. Mrs. Perry was raised in the Ionia area and was a member of the First Christian Church in Ionia since 1962. She participated in the Foster Grandparents Program in Ionia and also worked at the Peske Packing Co. in the 1940's. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Perry on January 10, 1979; 2 sons, Mel Lowery and George Correll; infant daughter, Sharon Correll; 3 step daughters, Joan Cook, Virginia Wood, and Shirley Loop; 1 sister and 4 brothers. Surviving are her 2 sons, Douglas (Jennifer) Correll of South Carolina and Richard "Butch" (Karen) Perry of Ionia; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the First Christian Church of Ionia with Rev. Armand Aronson, Pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday at the Church. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Ionia or to the Heartland Healthcare Center, in memory of Mrs. Priscilla Perry.
