Age 74, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2003.  She was born on February 28, 1929 in Dearborn, MI the daughter of Alphonse and Edna (Packwood) Duguay.  Before moving to Gowen, Mrs. Schrauben was a very active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.  She loved to cook and have family parties.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Schrauben.  Surviving are her 4 sons, James (Nancy) Schrauben of Portland, Tony (Florence) Schrauben of Holt, Russell (Lori) Schrauben of Holt, and Nicholas (Cathy) Schrauben of Portland; 4 daughters, Deborah (Fred) Reahm of Duluth, GA, Donalyn (Brent) Jackson of Belmont, CA, Denise (Glenn) Ries of Portland, and Therese (Ted) Bush of Gowen, MI; 20 grandchildren; sister, Doreen Iler of East Detroit, MI; brother, Joseph "Wil" (Barb) Duguay of St. Clair Shores, MI; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Steve Crone at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland with Rite of Committal following at Portland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.  The rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Monday and 3 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. Flohe Foundation, c/o St. Patrick's Parish, 1401 Church Street, Portland, MI 48875 or to the Gratiot Hospice of Montcalm County, in memory of Ramona M. Schrauben.
