Ray Noe

Age 75, passed away Friday July 18, 2003.  He was born on August 9, 1927 in Noble Co. IN the son of Claude R. and Luella (Thatcher) Noe.  Ray is retired from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army after 22 years of service and was a member of the VFW Post 4090 in Portland and the American Legion Cole-Briggs Post 48 in Grand Ledge.  He is retired from Emprotech Mechanical Services in Lansing.  Ray loved fishing, going to auctions, and reading.  Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nelda; daughters, Janice (Roger) VanWyke of Dimondale, Laura (Paul) Kabelitz of Laingsburg, and Arlene Noe (Steve Cheetham) of Lansing; son, Keith (Renee) Noe of Mulliken; 3 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 10 great grandchildren; 6 surviving brothers and sisters all in Indiana.  The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Roy Atherton at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.  Interment will follow at Danby Cemetery where military graveside honors will be provided by the VFW Post 4090.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Ingham Regional Medical Center-Cardiac Unit in memory of Mr. Noe.  The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Ingham Regional Medical Center-Cardiac Unit for their care and compassion shown to Ray during his illness.
