Richard Pullum

Age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 16, 2003 at his home.  He was born the son of Bert and Florence (Beech) Pullum on November 8, 1938 in Grand Ledge.  He attended the Ionia High School.  He married the former Bernadine Ostrander on May 6, 1961.  He worked at Mitchell-Bentley, Gibson's in Greenville, Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons, Barley-Earhardt Manufacturing in Portland, and retired from T.R.W. in 1997.  He loved Michigan State University and the Detroit Lions.  He family came first and he loved them dearly.  Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Bernadine; son, Jim (Teri) Pullum of Ionia; grand daughter whom he adored dearly, Sara Lynn Pullum; brother, Bruce Pullum of Ionia; 3 sisters, Sharon Hankins of Alabama, June (Wally) Barrett of Arizona, and Cynthia Marek of Morley; several nieces and nephews.  The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger, Pastor of Shiloh Community Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich Street, Ionia with Interment following at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association in memory of Richard B. Pullum
