Richard M. Tuitman Portland Age 83, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord after a lengthy illness with heart disease. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 12, 1932 to Tom and Nell Tuitman. Richard had a long work history in the Pipefitting industry, served as an MP in Germany during the Korean War. He was a hobby farmer who took great pride in his beautiful flower gardens. He was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church and the Lakewood Choral Society as singing was a great love of his. During this time, he had the privilege of touring and singing in Europe. Richard took great joy in watching his 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren grow up. Richard is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce (Bruinius) Tuitman; children Cindi Coats ( fiancé Bob Green), Barb and Randy Klein, Rick and Valerie Tuitman, Sandy and Jeff Henney, Ken and Lana Tuitman; brother Tom Tuitman; sister, Ruth Togtman; many extended nieces an nephews. At his request, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
