Rita Bohr

Westphalia Age 94, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Rita was born on January 31, 1917, the daughter of Anthony and Theresia (Schafer) Pline. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society. Rita enjoyed playing cards, quilting and a good visit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 1989. Surviving are her children, Sandy (Tony) Arens, Bill (Shirley) Bohr and Charlene (Bill) Werner all of Westphalia; grandchildren, Rick (MaryBeth) Arens, Todd (Jennifer) Arens, Bill (Judi) Bohr, Scott (Stacie) Bohr, Angie (Kevin) Darnall, Kris (Kelly) Werner, Kelly (Brian) Arens and Kerri (Jarrod) Hafner; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Manning and Lucille Bohr; brother-in-law, Ron Bohr. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 201 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. with the rosary being prayed at 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. with the rosary being prayed at 3:00 P.M. and a Scripture Service at 8:00 P.M.. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or the Fr. Al Miller Trust Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home.
