Ronald Lehman

Age 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005. He was born on March 19, 1933 in Portland, MI the son of Bert and Pauline (Ames) Lehman. Ron was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Portland Council #2168, as well as a member of the Oak Hill Gun Club. He worked for 33 years at Portland Products, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane; brother, Dan; daughter, Konnie. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Gen Lehman of Portland; children, Steve Lehman of St. Johns, Roni (Deward) Christmas of Bath, Greg Lehman of Lansing, and Tina (Ken) Lawson of Sunfield; grandchildren, Nathan and Sara Lehman, Jamie Scott, Tonya Sullivan, Michelle, Shane and Devon Christmas, and Tanner and Tessa Lawson; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Rosemary (Richard) Almy; brother, Gary (Aletha) Lehman; numerous brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland, with the Rev. Larry King, Pastor presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. and a Vigil Service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Father Flohe Foundation, in memory of Mr. Ronald E. Lehman.
