Age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005. She was born on March 6, 1917 in Ionia, MI the daughter of Robert and Mary (Creer) Luz. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jedson "Lyle" Simmons; sisters, Vivian and Vera; brother, Robert Luz. Surviving are her daughters, Connie Batten of Racine, WI and Sharon Ullstrom of Livonia, MI; grandchildren, Dawn, Debbie, Wendy and Denise; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Dolores Sandborn. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Martin Culver, Pastor, and Assistant Pastor, Mrs. Nancy Patera, of the First United Methodist Church, Ionia, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
