Fenwick Formerly of Ionia Mrs. Ruth C. Lampman passed away on May 26, 2011 at her home. She was born in Elm Hall, Michigan on June 29, 1920 the daughter of Bird and Valerie (Ball) Woodard. Ruth was the only child by Bird and Valerie Woodard. Ruth graduated from Ionia High School in 1938. She married Edgar Harwood on August 12, 1938 in Ionia. Ruth worked for Mileski’s Grocery Store for 5 years and Fred’s Supermarket for 10 years. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar Harwood in 1984 and Burdette E. Lampman in 2004. Surviving are her children Lynn (Catherine) Harwood of Richmond, VA, Keith Harwood of Ionia, MI, Bryan (Kathy) Harwood of Battle Creek, MI, Alice Yenchar of Fenwick, MI, Jean (Roger) Cronk of Woodland, MI, Helen (Tom) Hall of Bellevue, MI and Linda (David) Davenport of North Branch, MI; stepchildren, Lee (Kortne) Lampman and Stephen Lampman both of Ionia, MI; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Zion United Methodist Church of Ionia with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Balcom Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Ionia County Mental Health Wrap Around Program, Ionia Co. Commission on Aging and Ionia Sparrow Hospice.
