Age 96, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at Foote Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1908 in Portland the daughter of George and Helen (Pierce) Teachout. Miss Teachout graduated from Portland High School in 1925 and the Lansing Business College in 1928. She worked in Lansing, Michigan for several years in clerical and banking positions, as well as Detroit, Chicago, and Elyria, Ohio, a total of 47 years. She retired from Auto Owners Insurance Company in St. Paul, Minnesota after 17 years. She lived in St. Paul for 30 years. She loved traveling, making many friends in her lifetime. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with interment following at Danby Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
