Scott Schafer

Portland Age 40, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011. He was born on September 22, 1970 in Ionia the son of Frederick and Patricia (Cunningham) Schafer. Scott enjoyed fixing what other people couldn't, being a jack of all trades. His son, Corey was the joy of his life and was very important to him. Scott was a journeyman electrician in the I.B.E.W. Local #275. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Esther Cunningham and Edward and Rita Schafer; uncles, Donald and Kenneth Schafer. Surviving are his son, Corey; parents Frederick Schafer and Patricia Schafer; brother, Tony (Juliane) Schafer; sister, Sally (Joseph) Meeker; nephew, Chase Meeker and nieces, Brooke Meeker; grandpa, Leonard (Noddie) Cunningham; many aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Den Slatterly at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
