Sherry Jean Dixon Ionia, MI. Age 70, went to be with the Jesus on Saturday, December 23, 2006. She was born on December 6, 1936 in Cleveland, OH. She moved to Muir in 1946. On November 10, 1953 she married Richard A. Hawley who preceded her death in 1982. In July 1994, she married Harry Dixon and spent 10 years living in Andrews, TX, then returned to Ionia. Sherry is a member of the Sheridan V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary and the Ionia Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was active in Little League Baseball in the 1970's and loved music and enjoyed traveling. She will be dearly missed by her family, including her husband Harry ; Children: Melody and Sean Bromms, Kim Hawley, Lorenda Misner, Richard and Brenda Hawley; Grandchildren: Brad Hawley, Josh Bigerow, Brandy Hawley, Arthur Misner, Frank Misner, Robert Misner and Travis Misner; Stepchildren: Denise and Tim Rowe, Wayne and Robin Wood, Woodrow and Angela Roberts, James Dixon, Don and Ann Dixon all from Ft. Worth, Tx and Pete and Theresa Mayberg from Kingston, WA; she also survivied by 8 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Melvin Fox at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Decemeber 28, 2006 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. Rite of Committal will be Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friend 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday.
