George “Keoke” I. Kealakai, 72, of Kihei, passed away on July 3, 2017 at Tripler Army Medical Hospital in Honolulu. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Honolulu.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 19, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. and service at 10 a.m.
George was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a security guard on the 3rd floor at the court house before working at Robert of Hawaii as a school bus driver. He was also a member of The Sons of Hawaii Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife Mahinalani Kealakai; step-sons, Emmitt and Earl Freitas; step-daughter, Earleen Sato; brothers, Jonathan and Duke Kealakai; sisters, Charlene Ching, Rebecca, Henano, Vanessa and Lara Kealakai, and 10 grandchildren.
George is also survived by his true brother and closest friend, Samuel Kuailani Sr., and favorite nephew Kalani Waiohu.
