Steven Oaks

Age 29, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2004.  He was born on October 25, 1974 in Jackson, Michigan the son of Gordon and Marilyn (Smith) Oaks.  He graduated from Lakewood High School in Lake Odessa.  His hobbies included Antique Tractors and going to Tractor Shows.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and woodworking.  He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Oaks.  Surviving are his wife, Marie of Sheridan; daughter, Kylee Oaks of Greenville; step daughters, Amber Hissong and Ashley Alexander, both of Sheridan; mother and step father, Marilyn and Tom Noffke of Lake Odessa; brothers and sisters, Jami and Chris Butler of Grandville, Mary and her Fiancee Jake Boroff of Ionia, Michael Oaks of Lake Odessa; grandmother, Elizabeth Smith of Lake Odessa; grandfather, Henry Smith of Lake Odessa; 3 nephews; his in-laws, Rod and Jeanette Alexander of Sheridan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sherry and Micky King of Middleton.  A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Rev. David L. Flagel, Pastor and Pastor John Waite at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Lakewood United Methodist Church.
