Therese Lehman

Ionia Age 95, passed away on June 23, 2011 at Heartlands of Ionia. Therese was born on August 2, 1915 in Odessa Township, the daughter of Lewis and Mary (Schnabel) Lehman. She attended the Carr School and lived in Odessa Township until moving to Ionia in 1961. Therese was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ionia. She is survived by four nieces and two nephews. Doris Lehman of Ionia, Shirley (Frank) Wilbur of Olivet, Mary Anne (Leik) Ferrari of Grand Rapids, Ellen Leik of Holland, Philip Leik of Portland and Thomas (Mary) Leik of Portland. She is also survived by three great nieces, five great nephews, four great-great nieces, four great-great nephews and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, a niece, Amata (Lehman) Scheid and a nephew Lewis Lehman III. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at S.S Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ionia with Fr. Tom Boufford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia from 6:00-8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, Therese would like memorial contributions to be made to S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes.
