Verna Manley

Verna “Pat” Manley Age 84, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away on Thursday August 17, 2006. She was born on November 18, 1921 in Shelby, Michigan. Pat enjoyed many hobbies that included knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, and growing roses. She used her love for cooking in many ways including working at numerous restaurants. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband James (2004), Son-in-law Donald Cobb (1982), and Son-in-law Joseph Vergeson (1988). Surviving Pat are Teri (Bud) Glass of Grand Rapids, Nancy Vergeson of Portland, Kathy Cobb of Portland, Steven Manley of Portland as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will be receiving friends from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday, August 20, at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at the VFW in Portland following interment at West Sebewa Cemetery.
