Victoria Lawless

Portland Age 57, passed away on January 14, 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1951 in Lansing the daughter of John and Julia (Hickey) Donovan. Vicki was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, She was a secretary at both Oakwood and Westwood Elementary Schools for 15 years. She was also secretary for Dr. Brown for several years. Vicki was dedicated to Portland athletics always willing to do the things behind the scenes. She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren and doing "grandmother" activities. Her life was full of laughter and love. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Terry; children Ryan, Nick, and Mandy (Ryan) Johnston; grandchildren Zachary, Logan, Lileigh and Evelyn; brothers Jack (Julie) Donovan and Mike Donovan; special cousin Theresa Curtis; the Torch Lake Girls and many friends, nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. A Scripture Service will be held at 8 p.m., Sunday. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Portland Foundation for Education or to St. Vincent Home for Children 2800 W.Willow St.; Lansing, MI. 48917 in memory of Vicki.
