Portland Age 71, passed away on December 20, 2008. He was born February 21, 1937 in Lansing the son of Jess and Ethel (Nelson) Wise. Wayne was involved with the Boy Scouts, worked at George Worthington for 32 years and CATA Transportation for 8 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, life member of the Eagles, Travelers Protection Agency, and a life member of Loyal Riders Motorcycle Club in Houghton Lake. He enjoyed traveling on his bike, fishing and camping. He is survivied by his wife of 22 years, Joann;4 children Jeff (Stephanie) Wise, Mike Wise, Kathy (Frank) Hoerner and Mark Wise; 3 step children Terri (Bill), Sandy (Bob) and Kathy (Roy); 6 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Jackie Anderson. A gathering will be held at his home 10148 Marsalle Rd.; Portland, MI. 48875 in the near future. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Wayne. Arrangements are entrusted to Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
