Age 90, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012. He was born on July 20, 1921 in St. Johns, MI the son of Clayton and Gertrude (Neller) Brewer. Mr. Brewer owned several gas stations over the years, later working for Caswell's gas station, and was very involved in the Catholic church. Wilbur had a great sense of humor, had an appreciation for the outdoors, especially fishing, and also loved going to lunch with his family and friends, enjoying his outings. He also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Francis (Vandevelde) Brewer; daughter Claudia Klein; brother, Dale; brother-in-law, Ronald Curtis; sister-in-law, Jill Brewer; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Tribble. Surviving are his siblings, Thera Curtis, Doris Brewer and Lyle Brewer; children, Robert Tribble, David (Terry) Tribble, Paul Tribble; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 19, 2012 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich Street, Ionia, with the Rev. Thomas Boufford, Pastor of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia, presiding. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Ionia, at a later date. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
