Age 72, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2005 at home. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Indiana, PA. the son of David B. and Mildred W. (Getty) Carnahan. Mr. Carnahan was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and is retired from B.O.C. in Lansing in 2000. William enjoyed watching the stock market, and also was a history buff. He was a devoted husband, father and very devoted grandfather who was always very generous and willing to help those in need. William was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Nan E. (White) Carnahan. Surviving are his children, Marybeth Carnahan of Portland, Colleen Carnahan of Farmington Hills, and David Carnahan of Farmington Hills; Grandchildren Alyssa Blair Marcantonio and Christiane Theresa Marcantonio both of Portland; siblings Frank (Adeline) Carnahan, Sr. of Southgate, Betty (Jerry) Kujawski of Sterling Heights, and John (Sandy) Nichols of South Lyon,; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
