William Shinaver Obituary

Maple Rapids Age 60, passed away on July 15, 2009. He was born November 17, 1948 in Lansing the son of Gerald and Reva (Hoppes) Shinaver. William was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #4090 and the American Legion both in Portland. William enjoyed fishing, gardening and he was very deicated to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bobby Joe Shinaver. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean; sons William J. Shinaver, Patrick (Verna) Shinaver and Dean (Azariah) Shinaver; daughters Monica Pfeil (Stanley Claybrook), Ronda Shinaver (Steve Arnett); Grandchildren Krysti, Cody, William L., Bobbi Joe, Kaelynn, Cierra, Alexus, Kyle, Nicole, Allyson, Domronglit, Donovan, Nash and Ravin; siblings Jerry (Barb) Shinaver, Ron (Carol) Shinaver, Terry (Marilyn) Shinaver, Jim (Nancy) Shinaver, Rosemary (Jim) Reed, Judy (Bill) Clark, Jayne (Ken) Simmons, Steve (Lisa) Shinaver, Tom (Sherry) Shinaver, Wendy (Don) Pohl, Daniel Shinaver, Mary (Tom) Dryzga, Pauline Holton, Kathy (Dale) Mikesell, and Joy (Victor) Cardenas; Many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Burial will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery Augusta, Michigan on Tuesday. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Online condolences may be made at www.schraubenlehman.com
