Mt. Pleasant Age 84, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was born on December 12, 1926 in Saginaw the daughter of Glen and Ethel (Crosby) Crane. Yvonne was a member of the Greater Women's Club, The Red Hat Society, The Sweet Adeline's, and the Garden Club in Mt. Pleasant. She also was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge. In her early years, she worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII. She is retired from Central Michigan University. Yvonne loved cooking, baking and dancing. She enjoyed her grandchildren coming up to the river and fishing with her, she also enjoyed family gatherings and the memories made with all of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Zinn, second husband, Darrell Thomas; son, Ronald Zinn; brother, Glen Crane. Surviving are her son, Roger (Fiancee Rhoda Williams) Zinn of Portland; daughter Diane (special friend, Paul Maag) Sandbrook of Eagle; daughter-in-law, Sandy Zinn of Portland; grandchildren Michelle Zinn, Michael (Kelly) Zinn, Shane Zinn, Lisa Crosby, Sean (Jennifer) Sandbrook, Tammy (Tim) Zinn Stemler, Renee (Brent) Sandborn, Ron (Dana) Zinn, Jennifer (Tim) Zischke, Jessica (Josh) Flanders, Matthew Zinn and Melissa Zinn; 24 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lansing in memory of Yvonne.
