Jessie M. Betz, age 69, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Laurels of Carson City. She was born the daughter of James & Lula (Carpenter) Combs on April 10, 1948 in Moorestown, Michigan and they, along with her sister, Rita and brother, Jimmy have proceeded her in death. Jessie is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Pam (Bruce) Eckerle of Lansing and grandchildren, Chris Symons, Amanda Symons and Shane Eckerle all of Lansing. In her younger years, Jessie loved to go golfing, bowling, reading and making hook rugs. She and Ron also enjoyed taking motorcycle trips all over the state and seeing various sites. She loved her animals and her family is very thankful to the staff of the Sheridan Animal Hospital for the wonderful care they provided her cat Casper since February. The family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Laurels of Carson City for the warm and tender care Jessie received these past few months. In keeping with Jessie’s wishes, no formal ceremony will be held. For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Jessie’s memory the family suggests donations be sent to the Mid-Michigan Humane Society in Stanton.
