Sandra Lee MacDonald Obituary

Sandra MacDonald went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 25, 2021, joining her husband in Heaven, just 44 days after his death. Sandy passed away peacefully at Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids. In this world Sandy always had her priorities straight. First and foremost was her love of God and Jesus, and that was always number one with her. Second was her love for her family and for many years, that pecking order was first, her beloved husband Bob and then her sons. But then came her grandbabies and while she never may have said it out loud, everyone knew if her grandchildren needed her, the rest of the family could and would have to wait. Sandy also loved quilting, collecting depression glassware; reading, especially her Bible; taking ladies trips with her daughters-in-law; going on backroad deer viewing trips with Bob that usually ended with ice cream. Sandy also loved giving away Bibles to people who needed one. Surviving Sandy are her sons, Rob Jr. (Lori) MacDonald of Stanton; Jeff (Kelly) MacDonald of Gowen; Matt MacDonald of Stanton; grandchildren, Jon (Randi) MacDonald of Stanton; Zack (Kirsten) MacDonald of Stanton; Ryan MacDonald of Gowen; Jillian MacDonald of Gowen; Jacob Nickels of Stanton; Tyler (Calista) MacDonald of Stanton; Kaitlynn MacDonald of Belding; Kaden Silverthorne of Greenville; great grandchildren, Grayson; Emryn; Jonni Ann; Charli Jo; Franki Alynn; and one soon to be born great grandchild; sisters, Brinda O’Berg (Ron Cornelisse) of Newaygo; Pam (Bob) Silverthorn of Sidney; Jean Nash of Sheridan; brother, Randy Nash of Sidney; many nieces and nephews and lots of great friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel & Betty (Garber) Nash; husband, Bob MacDonald Sr., an infant son; along with two grandchildren, Daniel MacDonald and Baby MacDonald. Visitation for Sandy is being held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM at the Sheridan Assembly of God Church (4010 S. Sheridan Road) and one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at the Sheridan Assembly of God Church on Friday, January 29, 2021, beginning at 11 AM with Pastor Jerry Carlson officiating. For those wanting to make a memorial donation to help the family deal with the passing of Sandy, envelopes will be available at the church during the visitation and funeral.
