Elaine Hadley

Elaine E. Hadley, 80, of Stanton, passed away on June 2, 2019 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods under the loving care of her family. On October 5, 1938, Elaine was born in Stanton to Merlin and Eleanor Evans. After high school, she went on to become a LPN and worked in healthcare for many years. She met and married Dell Hadley, had three children, and enjoyed their marriage until his passing in 2000. In her younger years, Elaine loved to ride motorcycles, playing music; especially the Dulcimer! Every year she would attend the Dulcimer Festival in Evart, Michigan, she always looked forward to seeing her friends there that she had made over the years. Elaine was a member of the Nevins Lake Bible Church, having played the organ and piano. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Elaine is survived by her three children; Ruth Hadley of Kentwood, Todd Hadley of Stanton, Mark (Barbara) Hadley of Kitchener, Ontario, her grandchildren; Brianne Hadley, James Paul Hadley, Tabatha (Kyle) Laverty, Amber (Stefan) Hostettler, her great grandchildren; Gabe and Evelyn Laverty, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Dell Hadley in 2000, her brothers; Duane Evans and Jerry Evans. Funeral services for Elaine will be on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11am at Simpson Family Funeral Homes, Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.) with Pastor Dennis Ross officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Elaine’s family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods for their kind and compassionate care of not only Elaine, but her family as well. For those wishing to make a memorial contribution in memory of Elaine, the family suggests RBM ministries, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
