Robert A. Benner, 72 of Maple Grove, passed away February 5, 2017 at home. Bob was a Certified Public Accountant for 48 years, a partner of Weick & Benner; served in the National Guard; and was a University of Minnesota and St. Michael’s High School graduate. He so loved his grandchildren, fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Blanche; brothers, Stanley “Dave”, Bruce and Charles; and granddaughter, Diane. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane (Geist); children, Chris (Stef) Benner of Big Lake, Jenny (Pat) Darling of Shoreview and Denise Futhey of Mankato; sister, Mary (Ralph Woerrle); grandchildren, Elliott, Alice, Libby, Morgan, Peggy, Bob, Jack, Kenny, Ripley, Erma and Benner. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9 at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7180 Hemlock Lane, Maple Grove. Visitation 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, February 8 at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH MAPLE GROVE CHAPEL, 13745 Reimer Drive. Visitation also one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Maple Grove.
