<p>Marquardt, Barbara J.</p><p>93, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 20, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Elisabeth Barrows, husband William L. Marquardt, sister Dorothy (George) Kelso, brothers-in-law Arno (Lorraine) Marquardt, Dick (LaVerne) Marquardt and best friend Leah (Bill) James, infant brother Francis. She is survived by her four children: Susan, Bob (Alma) and children Paul (Travis), Alex (Abbey); Dottie (Jim) Dolezal and children, Katey, Will and Megan; Therese (Mike) Peck and children Amanda, Emily and Mitchell.</p><p><br></p><p>Barbara was actively involved in her parish and cherished her many friendships there. She traveled to Honduras, Haiti and Jamaica on Medical Mission trips, and volunteered at St. Stephen’s Shelter, as an overnight volunteer,even bringing her sewing machine to the shelter to mend the residents’ clothing. She loved to work with the sisters at Visitation Monastery in north Minneapolis. She enjoyed gardening, watercolor painting, and sewing, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 28th 11 AM at Church of the Annunciation, 509 W. 54th St, Minneapolis. Visitation 1 hour prior to mass at the church and a lunch following the service. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
