Hendrickson, Helen (Kjos) My beloved Mother passed away peacefully July 17, 2019. Born in Freeborn County Minnesota August 4, 1923, daughter of Gilbert & Helen (Rofshus) Kjos. The youngest of 7 children, grew up on the family farm, attended business college in Mankato. Moved to Minneapolis @ age 20 to begin a business career that she loved and that lasted until age 80. Worked for Lutheran Brotherhood, Dr. Arthur Thompson, ALC & ELCA offices in Mpls. In 1946 she married Merle E. Hendrickson of Albert Lea. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church 62 years. Helen is survived by her daughter DoRayne Johnson & her husband David, Grandchildren Arthur & Andrew Johnson, Alex & Alison Henry, Great Grandchildren Bailey & Parker Johnson; nieces & nephews & other loving relatives & friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clarence & Grant, sisters Eleanor, Esther, Irene & Doris. Member of Sons of Norway. Memorial service Wednesday, July 31, @11:00 am. Internment @ Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 1 hr prior to service. Memorials to Augustana Health Care Center, 1007 E. 14th Street, Mpls., MN 55404.
