Mary Jane (Rudel) Johnson, Age 88 of St. Paul Park, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was born on June 27, 1931 in Fessenden, ND to Frederick and Edna Rudel. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage to Kenneth O. Johnson on October 5, 1957. Ken and Mary’s union was blessed with three children; David Allen, Bruce Kenneth and Karen Marie. Mary enjoyed over 25 years working as a nurse with the majority of her career working at Divine Redeemer in South St. Paul. She is preceded in death by husband Ken, sister Carolyn Paul and brothers Warren and Allen. She is survived by her sons, David, Lake Elmo, MN, Bruce (Diane), Woodbury, MN, and daughter, Karen Dippel (Richard), South St. Paul, MN; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Collins-Dippel (Sean), Adam Johnson, Andrew Johnson (fiancée Christy), Allison Ryks (Jacob), Anna Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Rebecca Dippel and Samuel Johnson, three great grandchildren Hattie Ryks, Wesley Ryks and Eli Collins-Dippel, sister-in-law Rachel Rudel, nieces, nephews and many friends. Mary loved her family and her friends and treasured the times they spent together. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kandt & Tetrick Funeral Home, 140 8th Ave. N, South St. Paul. Family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday before the funeral. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
