Mr. Barry Lee Elliott, Sr. 56, passed away, Saturday, September 21, 2013, at his home in Pope, MS. Mr. Elliott was born in New Orleans, LA, on March 4, 1957 to Burton C. Elliott, Sr. and Gay Coker Elliott. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Loyal Order Moose Lodge in Harvey, LA and an industrial painter for Dixie Painting. Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife, Lula Renee Ragon Elliott; one daughter, Danielle Elliott; four sons, Tony Cecerre, Jr., Steven Cecerre, Barry Elliott, Jr., and Adam Berryhill, all of Pope, MS; his father, Burton C. Elliott, Sr. of Wagaman, LA; his step-father, Bobby Minjarez of Gretna, La; two sisters, Cathy Matthews of West Wego, LA and Amanda Minjarez of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Kim C. Elliott, Sr. and Kevin Reyer, both of Marrero, LA; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, the late Gay Minjarez; and one brother, the late Anthony Elliott.
