Louise Rauenhorst, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at her home in Navarre, Florida. She was born on June 9, 1930, to J.O. and Marie Hill and was a native of Calhoun City, Mississippi. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Rauenhorst; her parents, J.O. and Marie Hill; two sisters, Betty Robinson and Polly York; and a brother, Charles Hill. Louise is survived by her daughter, Mary Smith (Doug) of Navarre, Florida; her son, Joe Hyer of Big Creek, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Matthew Knight (Laci) of Bellefontaine, Mississippi; Mikie Knight (Annie) of Bellefontaine, Mississippi; Tanya Ison of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Chris Hyer of Fredericksburg, Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeannie Kimbrough of Calhoun City, Mississippi; and Dot Cobb (Keith) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 11:00am at Oak Springs Cemetery in Derma, MS. A.M. Zeidman will officiate the service, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude or the Navarre United Methodist Church We Care Food Program. We’re also advising against hand-shaking, hugging, kissing and other intimate contact, and encourage the use of face masks.
