Robert Lang

Robert Hobart Lang, Sr., passed peacefully on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 at the age of 92. He was born to Fred and Georgia Lang on February 2, 1925, in Keystone, OK. After high school, he entered World War II and became a bombardier navigator on B-25 airplanes for the Army Air Corp. In 1946, after the war, he married his beloved Margarette (Margie Lou) and they remained married for 67 years. He attended Tulsa University and became a petroleum engineer for Chevron where he worked for over 20 years. Bob enjoyed playing golf and also cheering on his Southern Miss Golden Eagles at various sporting events but his absolute favorite pastime was spending time with his adoring family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara, brother Fred Jr. and wife Margie Lou. Bob leaves to cherish his memories: his three children, daughter Shelley Myers (Danny), son Robert Lang II and son John Lang (Debra), 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 30th at Forrest Funeral Home. Services will be at 2pm on Thursday, August 31st at Forrest Funeral Home.
